June 27 - Tour Day 6
After our Robert-guided tour of the museum was over, we were given the option to do whatever we wanted until we met back up that evening. We decided it was the perfect time to do some random exploring.
We eventually headed to the Southbank area (one of our favorite places along the Thames) and snacked at the Southbank Food Market, a series of stands selling various types of "street food," including gluten-free nutella and banana crepes! Lesley was in heaven. We enjoyed the people watching, as there are a number of street performers and musicians, as well as playgrounds and restaurants. Our group met at the Westminster Bridge to ride the magnificent London Eye ferris wheel. This was really a lot of fun, and the capsule was big enough to walk around. (In fact, probably the size of our hotel room!)
After that "Eye"-opening experience, we hopped on a bus to our farewell dinner at a place called The Edbury.
